Tracking, Logging, Writing Down....ADMITTING

So last week I secretly decided to start writing down everything I ate. Not even necessarily tracking how many calories. Just getting in the habit of writing it on paper.

Day 1-3 GREAT.

Day 4 (Friday) Morning and Lunch went well. Went out Friday night. I kinda sorta wrote it down but in the midst of fun and drinks I may have skipped some things.

Day 5 (Saturday) Yeah I wrote it down, wasn't pretty. Wasn't pretty at all!

Day 6 (Sunday) I'd rather forget it! ATE WAY WAY TOO MUCH

So there is the trend. M-F when I am at work (a controlled environment) I eat well, stay within my calories, drink my water.

Sat and Sun - I overeat, I indulge, I don't drink water.

The sad part is I won't write it down. As if writing it down makes it official. NO..eating it makes it official. If its already eaten, why NOT write it down. Probably because its a smack in the face. Admitting that I've failed...

As much as I had to admit the reason why I am in a plateau, I already know whats wrong. My eating sucks! I mean I eat whatever I want to. As the weight comes off, I must also lower my calorie intake. What has worked before (as far as eating) does not work any more. OBVIOUSLY.

When will I learn? No wonder I ALWAYS get stuck in this 210 range. This is my comfortable place.

There is no way I can keep up working out 90 minutes a day. I tried to work off the extra calories. No that doesn't work. It takes both diet and exercise to lose weight.

I need to start tracking. I need to stick with my plan. I need to track (at least write down and track later) what I eat on the weekends

My first 5K ...LOTS OF SNOW!

I didn't go to my 5k on Saturday. We had a freak snowstorm (on the first day of Spring) with 7" of snow! I rolled over, looked outside and went back to sleep. LOL

Not to mention I had a few too many the night before for my birthday.
I read in the paper yesterday that they moved the race inside a high school and made it only a mile long. The winner finished in 6 minutes (WOW!)

So I guess this gives me time to re-do C25K outside and get some more outside time under my belt. We do have a 5k at my church soon, so hopefully I'll be able to do that one as my first 5k.

I ate and drank WAY TOO MUCH this weekend. Today I'm back on track. Not feeling the best my allergies are CRAZY..but I need to get some type of work out in today.

We shall see....

C25k - Week 2 Day 3 SORE!

I'm super tired and sore. This is one of those days when my body is talking to me.

I don't know who pissed in my trainers cheerios, but Title has been TOUGH this week. Anybody know that song by David Banner and Lil Wayne?? Shawty say?

Anywho...we do squats through the entire song. OUCH!!!!!!!!!

So then his next favorite thing to torture us with is running side to side. Lap after lap after lap of running sideways.

Not to mention the mountain climbers, pushups, sit-ups, punching combinations. The list goes on and on.

I've never worked out like this before. I would get on the elliptial and kill it, but there is nothing like using your own body weight as resistance.

Well my body is crying and I'm tired. I'm scheduled to go to Title again today, but this is it for me for the week!

So anywho...I did day 3 of C25k. My legs feel like they weigh 100lbs a piece. Like bricks. I barely made it through this work-out. I'm pretty sure its due to just being flat tired and sore.

I hope I can do week 4. We shall see on Monday.

I've lost close to nothing this week. .5-1lb at the most

C25K - Week 2 Day 2

Not bad at all! For some reason my legs felt lighter (on the other hand my butt feels heavier).

My walk speed is 3.8, run 4.8.

I think week 2 will be ok then on to week 3 that includes some 3 minute run intervals. YIKES!

I'm still Title boxing. OMG, that is no joke! I think someone insulted the trainer by telling him his class was easy. He is really letting us have it. Yesterday he kept screaming "Everybody's losing 5 lbs today!"

WHAT!?!?!

He must love squats.

I must confess I have been weighing daily. I lost a lot last week but this week is SLOW. Nothing gone really. Maybe some inches have melted

C25K - Week 2 Day 1

Not too bad. I can definitely tell 30 seconds was added to the run time. I was winded at then end of the run interval, but nothing I couldn't handle I guess.

I was able to increase my walk speed to 3.8 and the run I got up to 4.8.

The 30 minutes went by much quicker today.

I'm currently doing the training on the treadmill. I am nervous to get outside and run since I hear its harder.

Well maybe by Spring I can handle it. We shall see.

The MUST HAVE App for 5k Training

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!! Ok so the app is set up so sweet! It allows you to create your own music playlist and then a voice prompts cuts in tells you when its time for you to walk or run based on which day of the training you are on.

It totally beats the heck out of constantly looking down at the time on the treadmill and forgetting which interval you are on and for how long.

It also keeps track of which days you've completed. The app is only $1.99!

Each session is about 30 minutes. Here is my playlist.

Any other suggestions for music? I'm sure I'll have to change this up every couple weeks.
